What types of licensing do you currently offer?
We offer Commercial Licensing and Extended Commercial licensing.
To purchase a commercial license, please complete the licensing form and we will get in touch with you.
So what’s the difference between a commercial and extended commercial license?
Commercial licensing is limiting to 1000 units of one artwork for a 16 month period.
Extended commercial licensing has no limit to the amount of units produced during the 16 month period.
If an artwork if needed for longer than 16 months, a license can be re-purchased .Open to negotiation.
Do I own the rights to the pattern if I buy a license from Paisley & Dot?
No, because owning a license is a temporary permission to use the pattern for your business.
Think of it as renting the pattern design from us. The owner of the pattern artwork will always be the artist/studio, Paisley & Dot.LLC

What are your rates for licensing?
Our rates for limited commercial licensing are tiered by level of artwork complexity, and rates are available upon request.
To give you an idea of commercial licensing cost, rates start at $300
Final price of a licenses depends on so many variables, such as length of time you need it for, complexity of the artwork, how many units you plan on making, etc. This is why we created an inquiry form
Where can I see ALL of your patterns
All patterns are available in our Spoonflower Design Library.
We have decided to showcase a preview for all full themed collections in our LookBook . To view Collection patterns in more detail you will need the password to our Private portfolio.
The password is available upon request.
What if I want a pattern, or a specific colorway of an existing pattern exclusively?
Owning a license to a pattern exclusively means that no other person or company is allowed to use it commercially in the same product category that you are using it for.
We are open to offering Exclusive pattern licenses but it always depends if the pattern has already been licensed .

How can I proceed to buy a license from this studio
It’s fairly easy, you simply fill our the inquiry form and we will review it and get back to you within 24-48 hours
Can I use your license for digital products or branding?
Is it strictly prohibited to use our license for digital purposes. It is only ok for tangible printed products
Can I request a color or scale change to a pattern that I’d like to license?
Absolutely! Most of our print patterns are vectorized therefore quite easy to rescale and recolor.
There will be an additional cost for any modification to our pattern .
To request any color or scale changes please fill out the Change Request Form.
How do I choose colors for color change request
We recommend that you use Pantone or HEX color codes as a guide and reference when communicating specific color needs to us
Keep in mind that colors look a bit different in every computer monitor or device screen
I can also provide you with existing Pantone Color information as well as HEX or RGB codes to colors in existing print patterns from our Design library

YOU CAN :
Commercial License
Use for Commercial tangible projects and products for re-sale.
Use on physical end products for sale in a multiple projects in which the lifetime sales of the end product does not exceed 1000 units or 12,000 yards ( 10972.8 Meters ) of fabric yardage
Use on business or personal social media accounts owned by the licensee with proper credits in the form of tags @PaisleyandDot
Extended Commercial License:
Use on physical end products for sale in multiple projects with rights to produce unlimited number of units.
Unlimited use for printing on fabrics or any surface material . If you want to use our patterns for Wallpaper Products, please discuss with us due to the fact that we sell some of our own designs on wallpaper on this platform.
Use on business or personal social media accounts owned by the licensee with proper credits in the form of tags @PaisleyandDot
YOU CAN NOT:
❌ Using the Licenced Artwork to create any type of digital, non-tangible, or digitally distributable product for commercial use is strictly prohibited. Digital products including, but not limited to, designs, social media images, online advertisement, website elements, online and mobile applications, wallpapers for digital devices such as phones or tablets, digital publications like digital magazines, cards, digital papers, etc.
❌ Social Media: Sharing or posting the Licensed Artwork on social media accounts, websites, applications, and other online channels in their original form at any resolution is strictly prohibited. You may post the pattern image if it’s printed on your product.
❌ Print On-Demand Services: You may not use this digital file on POD or Made to order websites such as : Zazzle, Redbubble, Society6, Spoonflower, and all websites, applications, or services with similar business model.
❌ Trademark: Licensed Artwork may not be used as part of a trademark. You are not allowed to -- and shall not seek to -- register, protect, or enforce any trademark or similar rights in the Licensed Artwork.
❌ Copyright: You may not claim the Licensed Artwork (or a modification thereof) as its own copyrighted work (the original Licensed Artwork must be disclaimed in any copyright registration).
❌ Resale or Sub-Licensing the Licensed Artwork or any modification of it in original form or source file format is strictly prohibited.
❌ Resale or Sub-Licensing of the Licensed Artwork or any modification of it in a way that is directly competitive with the original Licensed Artwork is strictly prohibited.
❌ Making public or sharing the Licensed Artwork in any way that allows others to download, screenshot, extract, or redistribute Licensed Artwork as a standalone file is its original form is strictly prohibited. For the sake of clarification, an example of such prohibited usage would be to share or post the artwork in its original form, without watermarks, on social media accounts, websites, or as part of online advertisement, to promote the physical products created with the Licensed Artwork or for any other commercial or non-commercial purpose.
❌ Falsely representing authorship and/or ownership of the Licensed Asset is strictly prohibited.
